Yard Supervisor

YB Fitness in Lagos is looking for a Yard Supervisor to assist the Yard Manager with daily yard operations. The role focuses on maintaining service delivery, staff coordination, customer experience, hygiene, and compliance with standards. It involves supervising wait staff and kitchen/yard personnel, handling customer issues, coordinating orders, and ensuring proper recording of sales and orders. The position targets applicants with hospitality or similar operations experience and some supervisory background. What you would do
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in dining, bar, grill, and service areas
- Provide daily updates to the Yard Manager
- Monitor staff attendance, appearance, conduct and service standards
- Ensure health, safety and food-handling compliance
- Track stock usage and report shortages, wastage, damages or discrepancies
- Ensure yard setup before operations and closing after hours
- Support promotions, events and yard activities
- Supervise wait staff, kitchen assistants, grill staff and other yard personnel
- Handle customer complaints and escalate significant issues
- Coordinate customer orders for timely preparation and delivery and ensure orders are recorded
What they are asking for
- 2–3 years’ experience in hospitality, restaurant, lounge or similar operations
- OND/HND/BSc in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or related field
- Previous supervisory experience is an advantage
- Strong leadership, communication, customer service and problem-solving skills
