Yard Manager
About this role
YB Fitness in Ondo Town is hiring a Yard Manager to run the outdoor yard area of the centre, which serves barbecue, food and beverages, cocktails and other refreshments. The role covers daily operations, staff management, inventory control, cost management, hygiene and customer service to ensure profitable and smooth running. The Yard Manager will oversee grill, bar and F&B operations, maintain quality and presentation, manage stock and purchasing, monitor sales and finances, and address customer issues. It includes planning events and promotions to drive traffic and revenue. The position targets candidates with hospitality or F&B management experience and a relevant degree, and requires supervisory experience.
What you would do
- Oversee daily operations of the Yard including grill, bar, food and beverage and customer service areas
- Ensure consistent food and beverage quality, presentation, portion control and service standards
- Maintain equipment and facilities, report faults promptly
- Manage inventory, stock levels, purchasing, wastage and stock reconciliation
- Monitor daily sales, cash/POS, expenses and ensure reconciliation and reporting
- Maintain hygiene, safety and cleanliness standards
- Produce regular operational and commercial performance reports and recommendations
- Supervise, schedule, train and manage Yard staff
- Resolve customer complaints or service issues promptly
- Support planning and execution of Yard events, promotions and activities to boost traffic and sales
What they are asking for
- Experience in sales, inventory management, cost control and customer service
- Understanding of food and beverage operations and basic financial reporting
- HND/Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, F&B Management or related field
- Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in restaurant, bar, lounge, hospitality, F&B or leisure operations with supervisory/managerial experience
