X-Ray Technician
About this role
An assistant radiographer position supporting the Radiographer in a busy X-ray unit. It is suitable for someone early in their imaging career, based in Umuahia, Abia, working within BeaconHealth Diagnostics' clinical operations.
What you would do
- Welcome and reassure patients in the examination room
- Transport and position patients for imaging while protecting privacy
- Set up examination rooms and ensure equipment is ready
- Assist with procedures and monitor imaging displays to adjust quality
- Enter imaging data into BeaconOS and maintain records
- Help with basic equipment maintenance and sanitisation of the X-ray room
What they are asking for
- OND, HND or equivalent in Radiography, Medical Imaging or related health science
- Minimum of 1 year of hospital or diagnostic centre imaging experience
- Understanding of radiation safety and ability to follow protection protocols
- Physically capable of assisting with patient transfer and positioning
- Accurate record-keeping and attention to patient data
- Computer literacy and willingness to train on BeaconOS
