Wellbore Construction Field Specialist
About this role
A field based role supporting safe and efficient wellbore construction, supervision of drilling operations and coordination of construction activities from spud to handover. Targeted at experienced professionals in drilling, well construction or well engineering with strong field exposure, including offshore or complex wells.
What you would do
- Provide field-based technical support for wellbore construction activities
- Supervise and monitor drilling operations according to approved programs and standards
- Coordinate well construction activities from spud through drilling, casing, cementing, pressure testing and handover
- Monitor drilling parameters and wellbore indicators and identify trends or issues
- Review drilling programs, BHA designs, well schematics and operational procedures
- Ensure compliance with procedures, company standards and regulatory requirements
What they are asking for
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Petroleum Engineering, Drilling Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 7 to 10 years of relevant field-based drilling or well construction experience
- Experience in offshore, deepwater or complex well construction operations preferred
- Strong knowledge of drilling, wellbore stability, hydraulics, casing, cementing, well control and well integrity
- Experience coordinating multiple oilfield service companies and drilling contractors
- IWCF or IADC Well Control certification where required
