About this role
Role: QA/QC and Materialsman for Marquise Energy Limited in Lagos. The position focuses on ensuring equipment quality and material specifications for all well operations, conducting QA/QC audits, managing documentation and well programmes, and upholding safety and EHS standards in collaboration with related teams. It is aimed at engineers with about five years’ experience in both office-based engineering and field drilling environments.
What you would do
- Prevent equipment defects and verify exact manufacturer product specifications across all well operations tools, tubulars and fittings.
- Conduct QAQC audits on third-party service equipment prior to mobilisation.
- Track materials specifications and well performance; liaise with logistics, warehousing and operations to optimise well design.
- Formulate and enforce Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs); track material certifications and manage document control protocols.
- Coordinate material certifications and implement well programmes (completion, workover, slickline, wellhead, coiled tubing, E-line, fishing) and End of Well Reports prepared by Completions/WO Engineers.
- Demonstrate safety leadership; ensure compliance with EHS policies during planning and execution and supervise contractors to high technical and EHS standards.
What they are asking for
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Petroleum, Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering, or related engineering discipline; MSc in petroleum/geology or related field preferred.
- Minimum of five years’ experience spanning office-based engineering and field supervision, with preference for complex, high-risk drilling environments.
- Comprehensive knowledge of API, ISO and ASME standards; proficiency in VT (visual testing), NDT (non-destructive testing) methodologies, SIT (system integration testing), welding surveillance and inventory software.
- Valid BOSIET and IWCF or IADC Well Cap Level 4 certification (renewed every two years).
