The role involves using gas welding and electrical arc welding, maintaining welding equipment and supporting maintenance of industrial equipment. The position requires practical welding experience and the ability to work on heavy-duty mining machinery. Remuneration includes a basic salary with performance-based bonuses.
What you would do
- Perform gas welding and electrical arc welding on metals and heavy-duty machinery parts.
- Weld and repair components of heavy-duty mining and processing machinery, including crushers, ball mills, slurry pumps and other equipment.
- Use gas welding torches, welding machines, grinders and cutting tools to prepare, weld and finish metal components.
- Carry out routine maintenance on gas welding equipment, electrical welding machines and other tools to keep them in good condition.
