Proforce Limited in Ogun State is recruiting skilled welders to join its engineering and manufacturing team at the Ode Remo production facility. The role involves fabricating, joining and assembling structural vehicle components, chassis, armored plating and specialized frames to meet military-grade and automotive standards. Successful applicants will work with MIG, TIG, SMAW and spot welding, read engineering drawings, inspect welds and help maintain welding equipment and safety practices. The company focuses on defence and protective mobility products for government bodies, corporate organisations and private clients in Nigeria and Africa. The position targets individuals with relevant welding experience and technical qualifications related to welding and fabrication.
What you would do
- Perform MIG, TIG, SMAW and spot welding on steel, aluminium and armored materials.
- Fit, align, tack-weld and assemble chassis, vehicle bodies, brackets and armor kits.
- Read and execute work from engineering drawings and welding symbols.
- Inspect welds for integrity and compliance with quality standards.
- Set up and maintain welding equipment and PPE; follow safety protocols.
- Repair defects by gouging, grinding and re-welding when required.
What they are asking for
- Minimum 2 to 5 years welding experience in structural fabrication, automotive manufacturing, heavy machinery or defence assembly lines.
- Education in welding related field (NABTEB, Trade Test Class 1, OND or HND/BSc in Welding Engineering, Fabrication Technology, Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgy).
- Professional welding certification (AWS, CWB or equivalent) is an added advantage.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness; proficient in flame/plasma cutting.
- Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols; basic knowledge of NDT is a plus.
