Warehouse Supervisor

What you would do
- Supervise day-to-day receiving, storage and dispatch of sesame and related commodities at the Kano warehouse.
- Coordinate and direct the Warehouse Officer, assigning tasks and ensuring adequate coverage.
- Ensure proper stacking, lot segregation and correct identification of commodities within the warehouse.
- optimise space utilisation while maintaining safe and orderly storage.
- Maintain accurate records of stock movements, receipts and dispatches; ensure records are filed and retrievable.
- Liaise with Quality Control on lot inspection, hold and release status affecting warehouse operations.
- Liaise with Inventory to reconcile stock records and support periodic stock counts/verification.
- Identify and report shortages, damages and irregularities in warehouse stock or operations.
- Support investigations of issues and implementing corrective actions.
- Report to the Warehouse Manager when needed.
What they are asking for
- BSc or HND in Business Administration, Logistics/Supply Chain Management, Agribusiness or related field.
- Relevant certification in warehouse/inventory management is an advantage.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems or manual stock record-keeping is desirable.
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in warehouse/store operations, with some supervisory experience.
- Experience in agro-commodity, food processing or FMCG sector preferred.
