Warehouse Supervisor

About this role

Food Concepts Plc is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor in Abuja to oversee warehouse and inventory activities within the Supply Chain department. The role focuses on ensuring goods and inventory are transported, stored and delivered on time and in good condition to production units, stores and regional hubs. The position reports to the Warehouse Manager and has a Warehouse Officer as a direct report.

What you would do

• Identify and implement cost-saving measures to reduce storage and handling costs.
• Generate and analyse inventory and working capital reports at predefined intervals.
• Ensure accuracy of stock picked for shipment.
• Enforce warehouse security and health, safety and environmental guidelines to prevent stock losses.
• Ensure receipt of goods in line with purchase orders and specifications.
• Apply asset management procedures to maximise return on assets.

What they are asking for

• University degree or OND/HND.
• Professional qualification in logistics or related field is an added advantage (CIPS, CILS, CILCS, CISCOM, Lean Six Sigma).
• 3-4 years of relevant working experience.
• Knowledge of negotiating competitive logistics quotes and maintaining inventory control.
• Knowledge of evaluating warehouse security and implementing safety measures to protect stock.
