About this role
Tonic Technologies Limited is a Lagos‑based FinTech startup delivering payment solutions and services to individuals and businesses. The company is seeking a Videographer to capture brand stories through product shoots, events and community programmes, plan shoots with the marketing team, and perform quick edits for fast turnaround content. The role is full‑time and remote, with occasional in‑person shoots in Lagos. The candidate will produce content for social platforms including TikTok, Instagram, X and YouTube, and manage camera gear and basic post‑production handoffs. A strong portfolio showing range in social content, events and storytelling is required.
What you would do
- Plan shoots with marketing and design teams (shot lists, locations, props, talent)
- Shoot content for social platforms (product videos, interviews, events, behind‑the‑scenes)
- Handle lighting, framing and audio on location
- Do quick edits for fast‑turnaround posts (same‑day event recaps)
- Capture events and community programmes (Upskill, Cardtonic Cares, Tonic FC)
- Maintain organised footage and hand over to the Video Editor for larger edits
- Look after camera gear and keep it ready for shoots
- Direct people on camera and create a relaxed shooting environment
- Shoot with social media in mind (vertical framing, first seconds, trends)
- Stay organised, reliable and meet deadlines while working remotely

- 3+ years of professional videography experience with publishable work
- Portfolio showing range across social content, events, interviews and storytelling
- Ability to shoot with the edit in mind (capture B‑roll and extras)
- Comfortable directing people on camera and making them comfortable
- Ability to edit a clean, captioned short video independently
- Knowledge of social media formats and trends for vertical video
- Organised, reliable, punctual and able to plan ahead
- Excellent remote work capability and communication
- Proficiency with cameras, lenses, lighting and audio equipment
- Experience shooting for fintech or consumer brands is a plus
