Video Editor & Social Media Content Creator
About this role
Rapid Plus Information Technology seeks a creative Video Editor & Social Media Content Creator to produce video and visual content that supports the company’s marketing and online presence across multiple platforms. The role is for someone with proven video editing and social media production experience who can develop ideas, create both short-form and long-form content, and work with the marketing team. Working hours are Monday to Friday.
What you would do
- Develop original ideas for social media campaigns, promotions and brand storytelling.
- Capture, edit and produce video content for platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook and LinkedIn.
- Create both short-form content (Reels, Shorts, TikToks) and longer-form videos (YouTube, interviews, promotional campaigns).
- Edit video content using editing software and apply motion graphics, subtitles, transitions, sound design, music syncing and colour correction.
- Design thumbnails and other visual assets using Photoshop, Illustrator or Canva.
- Plan, schedule and publish content across platforms and monitor performance to inform future campaigns.
What they are asking for
- Prior experience in video editing, content creation or a related creative role.
- Hands-on experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut and other editing platforms.
- Proficiency with design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva or equivalents.
- Strong understanding of how content performs on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook and LinkedIn.
- Excellent visual storytelling with a strong eye for composition, lighting, timing and audience engagement.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and adapt to fast-moving priorities; good communication and collaboration.
