Vice President and Profit Center Head - Fleet
About this role
A senior leader role overseeing the end-to-end supply chain for Olam Agri’s Wheat Milling & Pasta division. The position focuses on planning, procurement, logistics, warehousing, inventory management and distribution, ensuring alignment with production, farm, hatchery and commercial teams. The role is based at Olam Agri’s Iganmu headquarters in Lagos and involves leading a team to optimise activities across sourcing, planning, and distribution. The candidate should have substantial experience in supply chain management, with leadership background and exposure to large-scale or multinational operations, preferably in agri-business or FMCG sectors.
What you would do
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies, policies and SOPs aligned with business goals.
- Build, mentor and develop supply chain teams while promoting continuous improvement and automation.
- Monitor and optimise inventory levels, logistics costs, supplier performance and service levels using data-driven decisions.
- Lead supplier sourcing, contract negotiations, vendor performance management and risk mitigation.
- Ensure coordination with farm operations, hatcheries, production, quality and commercial teams to support uninterrupted operations.
- Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations including demand planning, procurement, logistics, warehousing and distribution.
What they are asking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Management or Agriculture with supply chain exposure.
- Postgraduate qualification such as MBA or PGDM in Supply Chain, Operations or Logistics is an advantage.
- 10 to 12 years of experience in supply chain management.
- Minimum 5 to 7 years in senior leadership roles (e.g., Supply Chain Head or Operations Head).
- Experience in agri-business or FMCG supply chains preferred.
