What you would do

• Securely handle and protect candidates' personal information
• Conduct identity verification using valid documents and approved methods
• Verify personal information, addresses, contact details and next-of-kin information
• Authenticate education, certifications, employment history and references
• Identify discrepancies or red flags in candidates' records
• Perform KYC and pre-employment checks on all prospective employees
• Follow company policies and data protection requirements during verification
• Maintain an up-to-date verification tracker and meet timelines
• Contact previous employers, referees and institutions to validate information
• Prepare and submit verification reports highlighting findings and outstanding issues

• HND or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Criminology, Psychology or related discipline
• 1–2 years of experience in background verification, recruitment, HR operations or related role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
• Strong integrity, discretion and ability to handle confidential information
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies in documents
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and manage multiple requests
• Good communication, record-keeping and report-writing skills
• Knowledge of KYC procedures and background screening
