What you would do

• Perform KYC and pre-employment verification for prospective employees.
• Verify personal information, addresses, contact details and next-of-kin information.
• Authenticate educational qualifications, certifications, employment history and references.
• Conduct identity verification using approved documents and methods.
• Carry out residential address verification and other background checks as needed.
• Identify discrepancies or red flags in candidates’ records.
• Contact previous employers, referees and institutions to validate information.
• Prepare and submit verification reports to Line Manager with findings and issues.
• Maintain an up-to-date verification tracker and ensure timelines are met.
• Protect the confidentiality of candidates’ personal information and follow data protection policies.

• HND or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Criminology, Psychology or related discipline.
• 1–2 years of experience in background verification, recruitment, HR operations or related roles.
• Knowledge of KYC procedures and background screening processes.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to detect document discrepancies.
• Excellent communication, record-keeping and report-writing skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and digital record management.
• High integrity, discretion and respect for confidential information.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and manage multiple verification requests.
