Venture Builder / Chairman's Specialist

About this role

Proten is seeking a Venture Builder / Chairman's Specialist to work directly with the Executive Chairman on new ventures, strategic initiatives and capital allocation. The role takes ideas from concept through market research, validation, pilots and potential launch across areas such as managed offices, workspace products, manufacturing and partnerships. It is a hands-on position requiring the ability to move between analysis, strategy and execution in highly ambiguous situations.

What you would do

• Evaluate new venture opportunities identified by the Executive Chairman.
• Develop business cases for opportunities, including market size, demand, competition, business model, unit economics and capital requirements.
• Build financial models for opportunities and perform financial analysis.
• Design pilots to validate key assumptions and outline go-to-market plans.
• Lead high-priority strategic projects from planning through delivery, coordinating stakeholders.
• Identify strategic partners and support due diligence and partnership execution.

What they are asking for

• 6 to 10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in venture building or related fields such as management consulting, private equity or venture capital, investment banking, corporate strategy.
• Demonstrated ability to develop financial models and commercial business cases.
• Experience taking ambiguous problems from analysis through execution and managing cross-functional projects, launching new initiatives or developing new business opportunities.
• Strong undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering or related discipline.
• MBA, finance qualification or relevant postgraduate degree is an advantage but not mandatory.
