Van Sales Representative
About this role
Cross Beverage Company Limited is seeking a Van Sales Representative to distribute and sell its drink products directly to retail outlets along a defined route in Ibadan, Oyo. The role involves growing sales, collecting payments, maintaining customer relationships, and promoting new products and offers. The position requires a hands-on, mobile sales approach, good cash handling, and the stamina to cover multiple stops daily. The job is full-time and reports to the Sales Manager within the Sales and Marketing department. The company is a Nigerian startup producing affordable daily beverage products.
What you would do
- Load, transport and sell products from the van to retail outlets along the route.
- Meet or exceed daily, weekly and monthly sales targets.
- Identify and onboard new retail outlets to expand distribution.
- Follow the route plan and adjust coverage to maximise sales opportunities.
- Promote new products and seasonal offers to customers.
- Build and maintain relationships with retailers and outlet owners.
- Address customer questions or issues and escalate unresolved matters to the Sales Manager.
- Collect and reconcile cash and other payments; remit collections as scheduled.
- Maintain records of stock loaded, sold and returned; ensure proper product handling in the van.
- Prepare and submit daily sales, stock and cash reconciliation reports to the Sales Manager.

- Minimum of SSCE/OND.
- 1-2 years of experience in van sales, direct sales or distribution, preferably FMCG or beverages.
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
- Good numeracy and cash-handling skills; honesty and attention to detail in reconciling sales and stock.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills; customer-focused attitude.
- Physically fit for loading/unloading and long hours on the road.
- Basic understanding of sales targets, record-keeping and reporting.
