Utility Technician

About this role

The Utility Technician role involves managing utility equipment and providing production support to ensure systems operate optimally in the plant, based in Ogun. It targets engineers with an HND (Upper Credit) in Mechanical, Production, Electrical or Industrial Engineering and 3-5 years of utilities experience in an FMCG/processing plant, aged 28-35 and able to work with minimal supervision.

What you would do

• Manage utility operations to support production and ensure systems run efficiently.
• Operate, monitor and maintain onsite utilities; document and report on performance.
• Troubleshoot and intervene on process chillers, air compressors, nitrogen generators, extractors, air conditioners and extraction systems.
• Apply knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, extraction/ventilation and fire suppression systems.
• Use MS Office for records and coordinate with other departments to meet production goals.
• Uphold safety for self, colleagues, equipment and workplace.
