The Truck Mechanic will inspect, maintain, diagnose and repair heavy-duty trucks and commercial vehicles for Mation Engineering Nigeria Limited, a multidisciplinary engineering and project support company serving the oil and gas industry. The role suits a technically competent, safety-conscious mechanic with experience in diesel engines and heavy vehicle systems, including field breakdowns.
What you would do
- Inspect, service, maintain and repair heavy-duty trucks and commercial vehicles.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance and keep maintenance records.
- Service diesel engines, transmissions, braking, suspension and steering systems.
- Conduct routine oil changes, lubrication, filter replacements and fluid checks.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify faults and carry out repairs, including at project sites when required.

- Relevant qualification such as a certificate, trade test, OND, or HND in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering or related field.
- 2 to 5 years of experience as a Truck Mechanic or similar role.
- Proven experience servicing and repairing heavy-duty trucks and commercial vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, braking, suspension, steering and electrical systems.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults using workshop tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Willingness to work at project sites or remote locations and to work under pressure.
