A reputable transportation firm in Lagos is seeking an experienced Truck Driver for full-time work in Okota. The role focuses on safe and timely delivery of goods, upkeep of the vehicle, and compliance with road safety and company policies. What you would do
- Transport goods to designated locations according to schedules and routes.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Load, secure, transport, and deliver goods properly.
- Maintain trip records, delivery notes, fuel usage records, and other documentation.
- Comply with traffic laws, road safety standards and company policies.
- Monitor fuel consumption and report anomalies.
- Identify mechanical faults and report maintenance needs.
- Ensure vehicle and goods security during trips.
- Communicate with the Logistics Manager, dispatch team and customers about progress and issues.
- Report accidents, breakdowns, delays and other incidents promptly.

- 10 to 15 years of proven experience driving heavy-duty trucks or commercial vehicles.
- Valid driver’s licence for the assigned truck category.
- Knowledge of Nigerian road networks and interstate routes.
- Understanding of vehicle inspection, basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
- Proven safe driving record and responsible vehicle handling.
- Ability to read and maintain trip records and delivery documents.
- Good communication, reliability, integrity and time management.
- Flexibility for interstate trips when required.
