What you would do
- Document and log work/rest periods and kilometres drove, and retain fuel/toll receipts
- Comply with truck driving rules, route designations, and company policies
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues and perform preventive maintenance
- Input data into automated system for loading and unloading stages
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
- Collect and verify delivery instructions
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
- Transport goods over land between plants, retail and distribution centres
- Report defects, accidents or violations
- Maintain records of deliveries and trips

- Truck driving experience with hands-on use of electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB)
- Truck driving licence
- Truck driving school diploma
- Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations

- Adaptability to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather)
- No recent moving or driving violations
- Proven work experience as a Truck Driver
