Transport Executive - West
About this role
A Transport Executive is sought to oversee safe and timely transport of cement from plants or depots to customers in the West region (Sagamu, Ogun). The role focuses on managing transporters and drivers, monitoring performance, and ensuring on-time delivery with quality customer service for distributors and key customers.
What you would do
- Coordinate day-to-day transport operations to ensure product movement from shipping points to delivery locations.
- Monitor deliveries in real time and secure transport capacity within approved cost structures.
- Manage contracted logistics service providers and drivers to meet KPIs and service levels.
- Serve as the single point of contact for delivery-related issues and manage customer expectations.
- Prepare data-driven reports and dashboards to track KPIs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Support initiatives to develop LSP capabilities and optimise transportation processes.
