About this role
A Transport Executive - West position based in Sagamu, Ogun, responsible for ensuring safe and timely transport of cement from plants or depots to customers, while managing transporters, drivers and service levels to meet KPIs. The role targets candidates with leadership and operational supervision experience in transport or logistics within a Nigerian building materials context.
What you would do
- Develop operational capability of logistics service providers to meet company expectations
- Execute transportation initiatives to achieve cost savings objectives
- Manage day-to-day fleet availability and driver/LSP readiness to ensure product distribution
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to implement strategic transportation plans
- Ensure availability of appropriate transport to move products from shipping points to delivery locations
- Prepare data-driven reports and dashboards tracking KPIs and opportunities for cost savings and improvement
