Trainee Mechanical Technician/Junior Engineering Technician

ShogxyPro Outsourcing is recruiting for a Trainee Mechanical Technician / Junior Engineering Technician for a full-time role in a manufacturing/engineering company based in Ibafo, Ogun. The position targets individuals who have recently completed technical school, vocational training, apprenticeship programs or related mechanical/engineering studies, offering hands-on experience in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and engineering support within a fast-paced environment. What you would do
- Assist in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of production machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Carry out routine preventive maintenance under supervision.
- Monitor machine performance and report faults or abnormalities.
- Support engineers and technicians during installation, servicing, and maintenance activities.
- Assist in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, manuals, and technical documentation.
- Maintain tools, equipment and workstations in good condition.
What they are asking for
- Technical School Certificate or Vocational Training Certificate; Trade Test I-III.
- OND/HND/BEng in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance or related discipline.
- City & Guilds certification or other relevant technical qualification.
- 0-2 years of relevant experience; fresh graduates encouraged.
- Internship, apprenticeship, industrial attachment or workshop experience advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and industrial equipment; troubleshooting; ability to use basic workshop tools; good communication and teamwork; safety awareness.
