Trainee Accountant(s)

About this role

Samhays Limited in Lagos is seeking Trainee Accountants to support the accounting team and work with internal staff and external clients. The role involves assisting with day-to-day financial activities such as data entry, VAT returns, management accounts and year-end financial accounts and tax returns. Training is provided with the goal of becoming a Chartered Accountant within three years.

What you would do

• Assist with financial and management accounts preparation for group accounts.
• Help manage client expectations and deadlines.
• Prepare personal and business tax returns.
• Carry out bookkeeping activities including journal postings and ledger reconciliations.
• Process client records accurately using accounting software.
• Support general administrative duties in the Accounts team.
