About this role
Role: Theatre Nurse for Amy Consulting, based in Lagos. The position supports surgical teams during operations and provides pre- and post-operative care, while ensuring sterile practices in the operating theatre. Suitable for Registered Nurses with theatre nursing experience in Lagos.
What you would do
- Prepare operating theatres, instruments and supplies for procedures.
- Assist surgeons and anaesthetists during operations, ensuring aseptic technique.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and responses during surgery and recovery.
- Maintain accurate records of surgical procedures, equipment use and patient care.
- Ensure proper sterilisation and storage of instruments and materials.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, support and patient education.
What they are asking for
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid practising licence from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
- Post-basic qualification or certification in Theatre Nursing is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Theatre Nurse in a hospital.
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, sterilisation techniques, and infection control.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
