Technology Products & Platforms (Governance & Regulatory) Manager

About this role

VFD Group seeks a Technology Products & Platforms (Governance & Regulatory) Manager to drive governance, regulatory compliance, and delivery of technical programmes across the GTPP portfolio. The role acts as the custodian of regulatory documentation and governance framework, coordinating with Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Information Security to meet internal and external requirements. It is suited to a candidate with at least six years of experience in technical programme management, governance or regulatory compliance within fintech or a regulated industry.

What you would do

• Develop and maintain regulatory and licensing documentation across the technology portfolio.
• Maintain a register of regulatory obligations for all entities and products and monitor compliance.
• Prepare and coordinate regulatory submissions, licence applications, and regulatory responses.
• Ensure regulatory documentation meets audit and regulatory standards with minimal rework.
• Develop and maintain governance frameworks and policies for GTPP; coordinate governance reviews with Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Information Security.
• Identify governance and compliance gaps and track remediation progress.

What they are asking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, Law, or related discipline.
• Professional certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2) or Governance/Compliance is an added advantage.
• Minimum six years' experience in technical programme management, governance, regulatory compliance, or project management within fintech or regulated industry.
• Demonstrated experience managing regulatory submissions and interactions with regulatory bodies.
• Proven experience delivering technical programmes and POCs through governance and approval processes.
• Knowledge of Nigerian regulatory frameworks (CBN, SEC, NDPC (Data Privacy)) and ability to work with cross-functional teams across Product, Engineering, Legal, Risk, Compliance, and Information Security.
