Technical Superintendent
About this role
A technical superintendent is needed to oversee vessel operations, maintenance, safety and regulatory compliance from a shore-based role in Rivers. The position works with Masters and shipboard teams to ensure safe, efficient operations and adherence to company policies and maritime regulations.
What you would do
- Oversee safe, efficient and effective operation of assigned vessels
- Provide shore-based technical and operational support to Masters and crews
- Monitor maintenance, equipment condition and vessel performance
- Ensure compliance with SMS, ISM Code, flag-state, class and maritime regulations
- Coordinate maintenance, repairs, dry-docking, surveys and other technical activities
- Review reports and documentation, identify risks and implement corrective actions
What they are asking for
- Master's Certificate of Competency suitable for the vessel's safe manning
- 10 to 15 years sea-going experience with at least 8 years in a management role
- Extensive experience in vessel and shipping operations
- NIMASA registration
- Valid GMDSS certification
- Valid seafarer medical fitness certificate
