Technical Superintendent
About this role
A shore-based Technical Superintendent to oversee vessel operations, maintenance, safety and regulatory compliance for Starzs Investments in Rivers. The role involves supporting Masters and crews, ensuring safe, efficient operations and adherence to ISM/SMS, flag-state and class requirements.
What you would do
- Ensure compliance with company policies and maritime regulations on all vessels
- Monitor operational efficiency and voyage readiness
- Oversee vessel maintenance, repairs, dry-docking and technical activities
- Provide shore-based technical support to Masters and crews
- Coordinate safety, environmental and risk management procedures
- Liaise with clients, charterers, management and other stakeholders and maintain documentation
What they are asking for
- 10–15 years of sea-going experience with at least 8 years in a management role
- Master's Certificate of Competency or equivalent
- Valid GMDSS certification
- NIMASA registration and relevant STCW certifications
- DP certification is an advantage depending on vessel requirements
- Strong knowledge of ISM Code, flag-state/class requirements and vessel operations
