Technical Sales Lead, Completions
About this role
Weatherford is seeking a Technical Sales Lead for Completions to be based in Lagos, Nigeria. The role combines specialist completions knowledge with sales leadership to grow Weatherford's market presence and revenue in Nigeria and nearby regions.
What you would do
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets for completions product lines in Nigeria and surrounding regions.
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at major oil and gas operators, delivering technical solutions to their completions challenges.
- Lead technical presentations, product demonstrations, and field trials of Weatherford's completions technologies.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and marketing to create customised client solutions.
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals with cost estimates and project timelines; negotiate contracts and service agreements.
- Monitor project execution and customer satisfaction, and identify opportunities for additional services.
What they are asking for
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field; advanced degree preferred.
- 7–10 years in the oil and gas industry, with at least 5 years in completions technology sales or operations.
- Demonstrated technical expertise in completions equipment and services (sand control, liner hangers, packers, flow control devices, intelligent completions).
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing market share; strong understanding of West African market dynamics, particularly Nigeria.
- Experience working with major international and national oil companies operating in Nigeria; excellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills; proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office and technical software.
- Willingness to travel extensively within Nigeria and occasionally internationally; fluent in English.
