Technical Sales Engineer / Specialist
About this role
A full-time Technical Sales Engineer/Specialist in Lagos focused on selling earthmoving and heavy construction machinery to contractors and construction firms. The role targets candidates with extensive sales experience in the construction sector and related equipment.
What you would do
- Drive sales of construction and heavy machinery within the assigned territory
- Identify and develop new business opportunities among construction industry customers
- Monitor customer needs, market activities and business opportunities within the territory
- Conduct customer visits, product presentations, quotations, negotiations and sales follow-ups
- Build and maintain relationships with contractors and construction companies
- Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline and achieve assigned sales targets
What they are asking for
- 6–8 years of relevant sales experience
- BEng, BSc or HND in Mechanical, Electrical or Automobile Engineering
- Strong communication, negotiation, customer relationship and business development skills
- Proven exposure to construction industry customers
- Experience selling or exposure to equipment such as excavators, dozers, wheel loaders, dumpers and heavy wide-body trucks
- Experience in earthmoving/heavy machinery or construction-related equipment
