Technical Program Manager, Deployments
About this role
Zipline in Lagos is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead Nigeria deployments from planning to launch. The role manages the master deployment plan, schedules and processes, coordinating Nigeria-based and global teams to ensure safe, timely site readiness and scalable deployment practices.
What you would do
- Own the master deployment plan for Nigeria distribution centre launches.
- Build and maintain integrated schedules linking construction, procurement, shipping, hardware commissioning, regulatory approvals, software readiness, operations readiness, hiring and training.
- Maintain a single source of truth for programme health, site readiness, dependencies and milestones.
- Lead cross-functional execution across engineering, supply chain, construction, logistics, regulatory, operations and finance for Nigeria deployments.
- Drive improvements to the deployment operating model to shorten timelines, improve predictability and quality, and reduce costs.
- Lead weekly governance reviews and coordinate issue resolution during commissioning and launch windows.
What they are asking for
- 6+ years leading complex technical, operational, infrastructure, construction, manufacturing, deployment or supply chain programmes.
- Proven track record managing large cross-functional programmes with multiple organisations and long-lead dependencies, with accountability for schedule, quality and cost.
- Experience launching complex physical infrastructure or real-world operational systems.
- Experience in Nigeria or a comparable operating environment is highly preferred.
- Strong programme management fundamentals including integrated planning, critical-path management, risk mitigation, dependency management and escalation frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with scheduling tools (Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Primavera, Jira, Airtable) and building dashboards that track KPIs; ability to design operating systems such as integrated schedules, stage gates, readiness criteria and playbooks.
