Technical Product Specialist Solar and Energy Storage
About this role
A full‑time Technical Product Specialist for solar and energy storage, acting as the link between the Nigerian market and the headquarters product team. The role focuses on understanding end users, installers and distributors to inform product improvements, localisation, validation, launches and first-order implementation.
What you would do
- Participate in prototype testing, pilot installations and trials to ensure local suitability and report issues
- Collaborate with sales to promote products from trial to first orders and subsequent sales
- Provide product introductions, training and guidance to local sales teams, distributors and installers
- Improve installation guides, FAQs and product comparison materials and support key customer communication
- Track customer feedback, sales performance and quality issues post-launch and coordinate with HQ and local teams for improvements
- Analyse competing products and market feedback to support product enhancement and sales activities

- Fluent in English and able to conduct customer interviews, product briefings and technical discussions
- Able to report requirements and issues to HQ via English communications and simple reports
- Proficient with basic office tools to prepare research records and test reports
- Willingness to travel within Nigeria
- Experience in photovoltaic and energy storage installation for at least 3 years and practical project exposure in Nigeria
- Good communication, logical thinking and proactive follow-up skills
