About this role
Technical Manager Medical (TMM) - Maiduguri roving role at INTERSOS, overseeing management and coordination of health programs including immunisation and SRH in Borno state, with a focus on polio vaccination in hard-to-reach areas. Targeted at experienced senior managers with humanitarian field background and medical/public health qualifications.
What you would do
- Support planning, implementation and monitoring of medical activities per project plans and protocols.
- Contribute to budgeting, annual planning, donor reporting and proposal development.
- Supervise Medical Activity Managers to ensure high-quality service delivery across projects.
- Monitor medical activities and report gaps or challenges to Medical Coordinator and coordination teams.
- Establish and maintain relationships with donors, authorities, partners and health actors.
- Participate in field-level and intersectoral coordination meetings and liaise with the State Ministry of Health and EPI Department.
What they are asking for
- Advanced university degree in medicine MBBS or other paramedical qualification; tropical medicine or public health master's preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of senior managerial experience in humanitarian settings.
- Experience managing polio immunization programs preferred.
- Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Internet) and familiarity with donor reporting requirements.
- Leadership and people management skills; ability to work in fragile/unstable environments.
- English proficiency; knowledge of Hausa and Kanuri advantageous.
