Technical Assistant
About this role
Bridgemead Consulting is seeking a Technical Assistant to provide technical leadership across real estate development, construction and property projects in Lagos. The role acts as a key technical adviser to the Managing Director, coordinating internal teams, consultants and regulators to ensure safe, compliant project delivery.
What you would do
- Lead the planning, supervision and delivery of construction and property development projects from inception to completion.
- Conduct technical due diligence, feasibility studies, site investigations and property acquisition reviews.
- Review architectural, structural, engineering and survey drawings for technical integrity and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee land acquisition due diligence, including title verification and related property records, and coordinate development approvals and regulatory documentation.
- Monitor project quality, timelines, budgets, resources, contractor performance and technical risks, with timely corrective action.
- Supervise the Procurement Manager and Facility Manager, and provide technical leadership and mentorship to multidisciplinary teams.
What they are asking for
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, Building Technology, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related discipline.
- Minimum of five years' relevant experience in construction, engineering, real estate development or technical operations.
- Proven track record of overseeing multiple construction or development projects from planning to completion.
- Strong knowledge of the Nigerian Land Use Act, land acquisition, title verification, planning approvals, development control and building regulations.
- Experience coordinating statutory approvals and engaging government/regulatory authorities; experience managing multidisciplinary teams of architects, engineers, surveyors, consultants and contractors.
- COREN registration is required for engineering professionals; PMP or similar project management certification is an added advantage.
