Technical Assistant

About this role

A Technical Assistant to the Group Chief Financial Officer provides strategic, analytical and operational support to the GCFO across the Group Finance function. It involves coordinating finance priorities, preparing reports and analyses, and supporting financial reporting, transformation initiatives and communication with senior stakeholders within the group.

What you would do

• Prepare briefing materials, management reports, presentations and analyses for meetings and decision-making.
• Support the GCFO in preparing for management, board and committee meetings.
• Coordinate information required by the GCFO from Finance teams and Group offices.
• Maintain a central tracker of finance action items and strategic initiatives.
• Follow up with stakeholders to ensure timely completion of actions and escalate delays.
• Support group financial reporting coordination, consolidation activities and preparation of management dashboards.

What they are asking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
• 3 to 6 years' experience in Finance, Accounting, Financial Reporting, Audit, FP&A, Consulting or related field.
• Professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Ability to interpret complex financial information and translate into insights.
• Strong ownership of tasks, deadlines and deliverables with high accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to coordinate across multiple teams and subsidiaries.
