Team Lead, Database Management for Access Bank Plc in Lagos. What you would do

• Carry out capacity planning for subsidiary and project databases and provide technical guidance during new application deployments.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Applications and other IT teams to deliver L3 support and maintenance for database deployments.
• Ensure the integrity of subsidiary and project databases is not compromised.
• Design and implement database backup policies and disaster recovery measures for failover or restoration after disruption.
• Monitor database sizes, perform health checks and tune performance to maintain availability.
• Ensure databases comply with security and access policies and address audit findings.

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM, Computer Science, database management or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in core database management, preferably in a financial institution.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL Server; ability to review logs and diagnose performance issues.
• Certifications such as ITIL, COBIT, TOGAF and Oracle OCP/OCE or equivalent.
• Desirable: Master’s degree in IT or related discipline; experience in financial services.
• Other relevant professional certifications in database management.
