Team Lead Data Governance

About this role

A leadership role overseeing the bank's Data Governance programme across the enterprise, departments and units. Suitable for someone with at least five years of experience in designing and delivering data governance initiatives.

What you would do

• Manage the overall Data Governance programme across the enterprise, departmental and unit levels
• Develop and operationalise data governance standards, policies, procedures and usage guidelines
• Plan staff resourcing and lead a team of Data Governance specialists
• Coordinate governance councils and promote adoption of best practices
• Define data domains, metadata, lineage and sources of truth within governance tools
• Lead monitoring and reporting of enterprise Data Governance metrics and manage related communications

What they are asking for

• Minimum of a first degree in a business or IT related discipline
• Five years of experience in designing, developing and delivering data governance programmes
• Masters, MBA or professional certification would be an added advantage
• Experience in setting data standards, policies and lifecycle management would be beneficial
• Ability to lead teams and coordinate across multiple stakeholders
• Knowledge of data quality, metadata management and data governance concepts
