Deloitte Nigeria is seeking an experienced Manager to join its Business Tax team, focusing on clients in the financial services sector. The role involves leading corporate income tax compliance, tax provisioning, audits and advisory work for financial services and real estate clients, and providing bespoke tax solutions on corporate and transaction matters. The manager will build and maintain client relationships, act as a trusted advisor on transactions, manage tax authority interactions, and help clients navigate tax and regulatory issues. The position also includes mentoring junior staff and coordinating work with tax teams across jurisdictions. A strong background in tax within financial services, with international exposure and qualifications such as ICAN/ACCA, is required."

What you would do

• Lead delivery of corporate income tax compliance, tax provisioning, tax audit support and advisory engagements for clients in financial services and real estate.
• Provide bespoke tax solutions on corporate and transaction tax engagements.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and act as trusted advisor on transactions.
• Manage tax authority enquiries, audits and disputes; help mitigate tax risks and exposures.
• Help clients navigate tax and regulatory issues in transactions.
• Support multinational companies with complex tax issues.
• Collaborate with tax experts across multiple jurisdictions.
• Train, supervise and develop junior team members.

• Bachelor's degree or HND in any discipline with minimum second class upper/upper credit
• Minimum of seven credits in WASSCE/NECO including Mathematics and English in one sitting
• At least seven years of relevant experience in corporate or business tax, including advising financial services clients and managing complex engagements
• ICAN or ACCA qualified
• Strong technical knowledge of Nigerian tax laws with exposure to international tax and cross-border structuring
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and lead transaction workstreams
• Excellent verbal and written communication, client management and presentation skills
• Advanced MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Good understanding of the financial services industry and regulatory environment
• Good interpersonal skills and client relationship management
