The Tax Manager role is with PZ Cussons Nigeria Plc, based in Lagos. It involves ensuring compliant and timely tax reporting across multiple entities, supporting tax planning and risk management, and collaborating with internal teams and tax authorities across Nigeria and other African markets.
What you would do
- Ensure accurate and timely tax reporting, filings and statutory remittances across multiple entities
- Support the reliability of financial reporting through tax reconciliations, reviews and compliance monitoring
- Develop and maintain relationships with tax authorities and external partners, ensuring queries and tax matters are resolved efficiently
- Assist with tax planning by providing analysis, forecasts and insights to inform business decisions and budgeting
- Maintain records, manage compliance trackers and support audits, reviews and tax investigations
- Provide tax expertise across the business, including supporting operations in Ghana and Kenya
What they are asking for
- Degree in Accounting plus a professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA or CITN
- Experience in a tax-focused finance role, ideally within FMCG, multinational or similarly complex environment
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax legislation (VAT, WHT, Companies Income Tax, PAYE, Transfer Pricing and related compliance)
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting and tax accounting processes
- Experience using SAP and Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, to support reporting, analysis and compliance activities
- Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and build relationships across teams
