What you would do
- Maintain documentation for tax filings, payments, audits and financial transactions
- Liaise with tax authorities on payments, assessments, reconciliations and compliance matters
- Maintain accurate accounting records and prepare journal entries
- Support accounts payable and receivable activities
- Conduct bank, supplier, customer, tax and general ledger reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Monitor changes in tax regulations and ensure statutory deadlines and procedures are followed
- Prepare and file taxes such as PAYE, VAT, WHT and CIT on time
- Assist with monthly financial reporting and month-end closing
- Prepare financial schedules as required
What they are asking for
- Professional accounting qualification or membership of ICAN, ANAN or ACCA is an added advantage
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in taxation and general accounting
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- Good knowledge of Nigerian tax regulations and statutory compliance requirements
- Practical experience in bank reconciliation, general ledger management and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software or ERP systems
- Strong analytical, numerical, organisational and problem-solving skills
