System Control Staff
About this role
First Excelsia is seeking an experienced System Control Staff in Lagos to strengthen its technology control, information security and IT risk management framework. The role focuses on monitoring access, security controls, change management, data protection, backups and disaster recovery, and other technology-related risks.
What you would do
- Assess user access rights and privileged accounts for segregation-of-duties conflicts
- Perform periodic user-access recertification and deactivate access for exited or inactive staff
- Review system configurations, application controls, automated workflows, interfaces, audit trails and exception reports
- Monitor information-security risks, incidents and vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions
- Independently review system changes for proper authorization, testing, approval and segregation of development, testing and production environments
- Assess backup arrangements, restoration testing, disaster recovery procedures and business continuity readiness
What they are asking for
- BSc or HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or a related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in banking, financial services, IT control, cybersecurity or a regulated environment
- Strong practical knowledge of IT controls, information security and cybersecurity risk management
- Knowledge of core banking applications and user-access management
- Understanding of database and network controls
- Relevant professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, CISSP, CRISC or ISO 27001-related certifications will be an added advantage
