System Administrator
About this role
Moniepoint is seeking a hands-on System Administrator to maintain and secure its IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, automation, and end-user support. The role is fully onsite in Port Harcourt, Nigeria and targets professionals with 3–5 years of relevant experience in system administration, IT support or network administration.
What you would do
- Design, implement and maintain IT infrastructure including servers and virtualization.
- Administer Windows Server, Linux systems and hybrid cloud environments.
- Configure and troubleshoot enterprise networking, including DNS/DHCP, VPNs and core services.
- Develop automation scripts and apply IaC tools to automate deployments and monitoring.
- Enforce security policies, manage authentication (SSO/MFA), endpoint security and incident response.
- Manage user onboarding/offboarding, workstation provisioning and provide end-user support (L2/L3) along with IT asset and ticket management.

- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field.
- 3–5 years of proven experience in system administration, IT support or network administration.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft, Linux/Cloud) are desirable.
- Proficiency with Windows Server and Linux systems; experience with hybrid cloud environments.
- Strong networking knowledge: TCP/IP, routing, switching, VPNs; experience with enterprise equipment.
- Scripting and automation: Python, PowerShell, Bash; Ansible and Terraform; familiarity with monitoring tools.
