About this role
The role is for a Switch Applications and Operations Engineer to be part of eTranzact International’s Technology team in Lagos, with hybrid work arrangements. The job focuses on owning and maintaining the applications and infrastructure that enable payment transactions across merchants and partner banks. Responsibilities include managing the Core Switch and interfaces for high availability, supporting switching services, providing L2/L3 technical support and incident management, driving upgrades and new implementations, and ensuring security and regulatory compliance. What you would do
- Manage and optimise the Core Switch and interfaces for high availability and performance.
- Support switching services such as account-to-account transfers, card issuing, and card acquiring across partners.
- Provide L2/L3 technical support and incident management for critical switching issues.
- Drive upgrades, enhancements, and new implementations across switch infrastructure and applications.
- Ensure switching services meet security, regulatory, architectural, and technical standards.
- Stay aligned with emerging payment technologies and opportunities for innovation.
- Collaborate with HQ and disaster recovery environments to ensure seamless transaction processing.
- Troubleshoot complex issues and act as an escalation point for critical incidents.
- Coordinate improvements in switch architectures and related services.
- Assist in maintaining documentation and change management records.
