Supply Chain Manager
About this role
The Supply Chain Manager at Tincan Island Container Terminal in Lagos will design and implement procurement and logistics systems, policies and processes to improve operational efficiency. It is aimed at experienced professionals with extensive supply chain, procurement and logistics expertise.
What you would do
- Lead the section by cascading yearly goals and developing the implementation plan, and monitor progress.
- Oversee end-to-end logistics for delivery of items and spare parts, coordinating with suppliers, banks for forms, clearing agents and expediting the process; follow up on purchase orders.
- Develop and manage the logistics budget and forecasts, drive cost savings, and coordinate with TEC planning to optimise sea versus air freight.
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts and service level agreements, monitor performance with KPIs and ensure contract compliance.
- Organise procurement and tendering processes, prepare bid documents, evaluate bids, maintain supplier database, issue LPOs and communicate with suppliers.
- Ensure process and systems management by aligning logistics strategy with business needs, developing work plans and budgets, and delivering operational excellence across transport, customs, freight forwarding and safety.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Supply Chain, Logistics Management, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
- Safety Level 1 certification
- Knowledge of Nigerian import regulations and customs and excise act
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Experience in RFQ/bidding management, vendor management and procurement and logistics operations
