Supervisor - Horticulture
About this role
A supervisory role in horticulture based in Kaduna, responsible for overseeing daily maintenance and development of gardens and landscaped areas, and managing a horticultural team. Targets are high-quality plant care and well-organised outdoor spaces for ANRML and its sites.
What you would do
- Supervise and coordinate daily horticultural and landscaping activities
- Oversee planting, pruning, watering, fertilising, weeding, and pest/disease control
- Monitor health and growth of plants, trees, lawns, and ornamental gardens
- Lead, train, and allocate duties to gardeners and horticultural workers
- Prepare work schedules and ensure tasks are completed efficiently and on time
- Maintain tools, machinery, and equipment and ensure safe, proper use

- Diploma or degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, Landscaping, Botany or related field
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in horticulture, landscaping, gardening or similar supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of plant care, irrigation, pruning, fertilisation, and pest management
- Experience supervising and managing a horticultural team
- Good communication, organisational and leadership skills
- Ability to work outdoors and handle physically demanding tasks; ability to operate or supervise use of horticultural tools and equipment
