Subsea Engineer

About this role

Oilserv Limited seeks a Subsea Engineer to work on onshore, offshore and subsea oil and gas projects in Lagos. The role involves designing and optimising subsea production systems such as trees, manifolds and templates for deep-water developments, and managing the lifecycle maintenance of subsea control modules and umbilicals. It includes analysing ROV data and subsea sensor telemetry to identify equipment degradation and coordinating installation activities with offshore rig supervisors and subsea contractors. The engineer will produce technical specifications and engineering documents for field development, troubleshoot system malfunctions, and assess structural performance with FEA to meet API 17D standards, while ensuring regulatory and safety compliance.

What you would do

• Design and optimise subsea production architectures for deep-water projects.
• Manage lifecycle maintenance of subsea control modules and umbilicals.
• Analyse ROV inspection data and subsea sensor telemetry for degradation.
• Coordinate with offshore rig supervisors and subsea contractors for installation of subsea hardware.
• Author technical specifications and engineering documents for development initiatives.
• Troubleshoot subsea hydraulic and electrical control system issues.
• Evaluate fatigue and load-bearing performance of subsea structures using FEA.
• Ensure adherence to environmental regulations and offshore safety protocols.
