Subsea Controls Engineer
About this role
Subsea Controls Engineer role based in Lagos for Scruples Resources. The position involves designing and developing advanced subsea control systems for power system control, protection and monitoring, ensuring reliability, safety and performance, and managing technical work from specifications to delivery.
What you would do
- Design and develop advanced subsea control systems for power system control, protection and monitoring
- Prepare, review and validate technical specifications for control system projects to align with scope, standards and customer requirements
- Ensure deliverables meet customer technical specifications and regional regulations and standards
- Develop test plans and verification procedures to verify functional and safety requirements before customer engagement
- Define cost-time-resource requirements for engineering planning and forecasting
- Lead health, safety, environmental and quality requirements and drive on-time delivery
What they are asking for
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Mechatronics / Controls Engineering, or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of qualifications and relevant experience
- Minimum 5 years engineering experience, ideally within the oil and gas industry or related service organisation
- Field experience in subsea installations, troubleshooting and interventions
- Customer-first mindset with understanding of risk analysis and hazard mitigation
- Knowledge of environmental, health and safety, and quality regulations within oil and gas
- Good communication skills with ability to work in a multi-lingual/multi-cultural team environment
