ADKAN Services seeks an experienced Structural and Civil Engineer to join its project development team in Lagos. The role involves structural design, civil engineering works, construction supervision, technical coordination, and quality control across building and estate development projects. The candidate should have proven experience with high-rise buildings, terraces, duplexes, multi-unit residential developments, and large estate projects, and must coordinate activities to ensure safety, quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery. The position targets engineers with strong site experience and ability to manage multiple project activities. What you would do

• Prepare, review and supervise structural designs for various building projects.
• Conduct structural analysis and design of foundations, columns, beams, slabs, retaining walls and other elements.
• Review drawings, calculations, specifications and reports for accuracy and compliance.
• Assess soil investigation reports and coordinate foundation solutions.
• Identify and resolve design and construction technical issues.
• Ensure designs comply with building codes and safety requirements.
• Supervise civil and structural works on construction sites.
• Monitor foundation works, reinforced concrete works, formwork, reinforcement, drainage, roads and related works.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure conformity with drawings and quality standards.
• Verify materials, workmanship and test results; identify defects and risk; advise corrective actions beyond approved methods and statements.

What they are asking for

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related field.
• 8 to 15+ years of relevant experience in structural and civil engineering, with building construction and project coordination.
• Experience in high-rise buildings, terraces, duplexes and multi-unit residential developments; estate development experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete, foundations, structural analysis and construction methods.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary project teams and supervising contractors on active sites.
• Ability to interpret and review architectural, structural, civil and building services drawings.
• Proficiency with engineering software (eg AutoCAD, ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro, SAP2000) or equivalents.
• Knowledge of construction quality control, project scheduling, cost awareness, and site safety procedures.
• Professional registration with COREN or eligibility is an advantage.
• Good communication, leadership, analytical, reporting and problem-solving skills.
