Strategic Finance Lead
About this role
The Strategic Finance Lead oversees the group’s consolidated financial view across multiple entities, coordinating forecasting, capital planning and investor reporting for Welcome2Africa International. Based in Abuja with group-wide responsibilities, the role supports the Group CEO and works with finance, legal, auditors and lenders.
What you would do
- Build a consolidated financial view across all entities with rolling forecasts and cash-flow models
- Develop financial models for holding company capital raises, entity plans and group deals
- Translate financial strategy into budgets, targets and capital plans for each entity
- Own and manage the group's debts and liabilities, including creditor relationships and funding strategy
- Lead and develop the Strategic Finance Officer and liaise with auditors, tax advisers and banks
- Design controls for a multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction group and produce monthly management accounts and reports
What they are asking for
- Professional accounting or finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA or equivalent)
- Extensive experience in strategic finance, FP&A or corporate finance
- Strong financial modelling skills and experience supporting capital raises or due diligence
- Experience in a multi-entity or cross-border business, with exposure to commodity trade, trade finance or investment advisory preferred
- Ability to build order from unstructured setups and communicate financial insights to leadership
- Experience in managing investor relations and responding to due diligence
