About this role
DP World is hiring a Storeman for its Abuja warehouse to manage daily warehouse activities under the Customer Service Manager. Responsibilities include receiving, storage, issuing of goods, and general inventory management, using hand pallet jacks and forklifts (only certified operators). The role also covers stock counting, reporting variances, maintaining good warehousing practices, and ensuring safety and documentation are in line with SOPs and client SLAs. The position requires experience in warehousing operations, WMS, MHE handling, and customer service. It is aimed at candidates with at least 1–2 years in warehousing and relevant certifications for forklift operation.
What you would do
- Move commodities within the warehouse using hand pallet jacks or forklifts (certified operators only).
- Receive, sort, and put away goods in allocated bins per WMS.
- Fill out pick slips and sign off.
- Maintain good warehouse practices during picking and staging for dispatch.
- Follow instructions from Customer Service Officers and management per SOP.
- Maintain documentation accuracy and competency in operations.
- Demonstrate initiative, adaptability, and teamwork under pressure.
- Carry out general warehouse housekeeping after inbound or outbound processes.
- Assist with physical stock counts and help resolve variances with Inventory team.
- Escalate discrepancies to the Customer Service Manager within 24 hours.
